OK. Open YaST and search for firefox. Which one is installed. Be
specific. Click on the one installed and then on the tab 'Version'.

So the next obvious question will be: What happens if you install the
one that is not from the mozilla repository but the one I use?

Most likely the mozilla repo makes a vanilla firefox, while the one from
openSUSE itself does not and add the ymp into it.

That is obviously a little different than yours.

And thus most likely the cause of your problem.
