Get the LG BR / HD DVD / DVD / CD reader, with the BR-R write
capability.
... and the accepted abbreviation for Blu-Ray is "BD" (for "Blu-Ray
Disk"); that's what the disks and drives have printed on them (and what
the logo is supposed to represent).

Less than $150 at Fry's at one time... can't be much more now.
Typical. The LG GGW-H20L (I think that's the drive you mean) is around
UK£150 -- so, 50% more, over here!
There's a Pioneer drive that's faster for around UK£175.
Still ... I recall paying more for CD-ROMs drives when they were new and
exciting. The prices will become sensible in another 6-12 months.
