An important point which I think people are failing to consider is
the following.

Usually when a piece of software undergoes a revision from one .X
or whatever to .X+1, then there are less bugs, providing that there
has been no new major feature added, and of course that the corrections
to the bugs have not introduced more bugs.

But what happens from time to time, is that in a new <your favorite>
distribution release, a piece of software has undergone a major
revision / rewrite from scratch (as some claim) eg when alsa changed
from version 0.5 to 0.9, and as amarok has just done from 1.XX to 2.0.

It is particularly when these new "upgraded" versions are released that
more serious bugs suddenly appear and things stop working.

From what I have read in passing, quite a number of people are going
from amarok 2.0 back to 1.XX.
