But it's true, that making it "just running" is not a hard thing -
especially using OpenSUSE & YaST.
That's why I do not use Apache unless I really need a big server with many
features. For small projects (some static html pages, basic authentication,
etc) I wrote my own web server - at least I know exactly how it is working
and what it is doing :-)
And that is excatly why I use Apache on also the simple things. It just
works after installation, especialy for small projects. Install Apache,
install php, drop the files in /srv/www/htdocs and I'm a happy camper.
All I need not to forget is open the port and see that apache is
launched at boot.
