Re: Installing .rpm's via Konqueror

Suse 11.1.

I used to be able install a .rpm file by double clicking on a downloaded
xxxx-version.rpm file in Konqueror, which would display a page with a
button labelled 'Install Package with YaST'.

Now I get a message from YaST complaining that it cannot find 'xxxx' on
the
media.

If I right click on an rpm file I get "Open with Install Software" as a menu
option, which then starts Yast2. Does that not work for you?

Do I need to set up a directory as a suppository or something?

I think you mean repository (unless you intent to put Suse where the sun
doesn't shine).
