I have a 2.5 SATA HD connect to USB to the PC. I am copying MP3's to the
/home/user/music directory on OpenSUSE 11.1 internal HD.
Why can I only get 900kbs transfer rate? Even USB 1.1 should go 1.5 to
12 mbs. USB 2.0 should reach 450mbs.
If you connected it to the USB AND you can transfer data, then it uses USB.
What did you do to convert the originally SATA interfacing with the USB?
Is ON THE SAME BRANCH of the USB chain something attached like a keyboard or a
serial interface?
If the latter is true, then the other devices might slow down the USB chain.
Also, you perhaps might have an old converter...
