Oh, no, houghi! You killed a kitten! Shame on you... :-)
I did a new installation that took me some two hours. The reason for
that was that I first did all the labels on the mountpoints. I then took
some serious time wandering around in the installation.
I also did the mounting by label so my fstab now looks like:
LABEL=swap_a swap swap defaults 0 0
LABEL=temp_home /home ext4 acl,user_xatt 1 2
LABEL=tmp /tmp ext4 acl,user_xattr 1 2
LABEL=swap_b swap swap defaults 0 0
LABEL=11.2_root / ext4 acl,user_xattr 1 1
LABEL=11.2_boot /boot ext4 ro,acl,user_xattr 1 2
<snip 13 lines>
Next I added MPlayer, the codecs and some more stuff. In Mplayer things
went bad because I had not yet installed the NVidia drivers, so I added
ftp://download.nvidia.com/opensuse/11.2/ as re-poo and now I can watch
'Black Symphony' from 'Within Temptation'. Wow!
As I have two screens, I want to have both. However I do not want it in
Xinerama. So what I first did was launch KDE, launch nvidia-xconfig and
the use nvidia-settings to set the settings.
I then tried to run a second KDE with `DISPLAY=:0.1 startkde` but that
gave an error. I then tried `DISPLAY=0:1 windowmaker` and have now both
KDE in one screen and windowmaker in the other.
So I though, why not run KDE and GNOME at the same time. That should be
interesting, so I ran `wmlist` and only saw the following:
windowmaker icewm-session twm
So where is the rest? How can I test GNOME?
Also how could I run a second KDE?
