Hi All,snip
I've been trying to get a new Opensuse 11.2 (x86) system running with
multiple monitors (2). So far google has not been my friend. I've tried
a bunch of different settings but to no avail including:
Section "Extensions"
Option "Damage" "true"
Option "Composite" "true"
EndSection
Sax2 seems not to be able to set xinerama correct as every time I tell
Sax2 to use dual head and xinerama the monitors keep being clones of
each other. I was wondering if anyone knows xorg.conf well enough enough
to help me out. I've been able to get xinerama but then I loose all eye
candy (XComposite and XDamage are not available).
It used to work fine of Opensuse 11.1 so I'm not sure what is going on.
I use the latest ati drivers. I've attached my xorg.conf as well. Any
pointers would be welcomed.
Cheers
The xorg.conf below allows me to have cloned monitors and the eye candy
but not xinerama.
If anyone else is having similar problems this is how I solved it.
Deleted the old xorg.conf and built a brand new one with: sax2 -r -m
0=fglrx followed by aticonfig --initial then by using the ati gui
amdcccle and setup multiple displays.
Cheers
