OK. That does not happen with me.
There must be some EOF thing that stops it. I
did not use "ffmpeg" as I am not sure how to install it after I
downloaded the tarball.
Do you have Packman added as repository? If not, do so.
YaST, Software, Software Repositories, Add, Community Repositories,
Next, Packman Repository, OK, Import, OK
Install ffmpeg using YaST. Do not try to install it from source.
I installed this from Packman (far easier than the ffmpeg tarball).
It installed with no problems.
While you are at it, also install mplayer, mplayerplug-in and
w32codec-all from Packman.
I already had all these installed at the original 11.1 install

OK - first try I got several errors. It complained about codecs. I
ran ffmpeg -codec and could not find any MOV listing - lots of others
- did not know so many existed, but no MOV listed.
I tried the FAQ solutions of transferring to an intermediate.mpg.
Still complaints about codecs and the audio frequency 7885Hz not
supported. These MOV's come from a KODAK digital camera (pretty pricy
model).
Anyway, I am sorry to say I gave up. I Went to the "Dark Side" -
WindowsXP, purchased from Apple the QTpro addition to their player
($30) and got the job done.
I would still like to "play" with linux solutions, but not sure where
to go and had to get this project done.
