I have used an Epson Stylus Photo R220 for, I think about three years. I
dualboot SUSE 11.3 and XP. No problems at all, except one. The price of
the ink-cartridges have exploded and a full set of 6 now cost more than
90 Euro, or more than 110$. There are no non-epson products on the
parket, and Epson can't use the refill ink availabe. I will use the set
I just bought, and then a perfect piece of HW will be scrapped, which
really aids the environment.

So - which medium priced color ink jet to use? Lets say in the 3-400$
bracket? It would be an advantage if the SW based maintenance can be
done in Linux, but now I do it from XP, and that can be accepted if I
have to.

No Linux support or drivers from Lexmark so I'd stay away from them,
Hewlett-Packard generally has Linux support/drivers but it can vary
from model to model.
