Hi Suse gurus.

Suse 11.3. Toshiba T110 laptop 4 meg ram. Dual boot Win7 Pro.

I get the system sounds ok when booting into, and leaving Suse;
however no sounds from videos such as YouTube etc.

Windows says sound devices are Connexant Pebble High Definition Smart
Audio, and Intel High Definition Audio HDMI.

Work ok in "doze.

What do I need to do to get the sounds working in Suse?

Opened Yast. There is an icon in the Hardware section about sound cards.
Opened this and selected your sound card as the sound card. On the
bottom right there is a button marked Other. Clicking on this brings up
a list which including Volume. On opening this you are presented with a
series of sliders. The Master volume control was at 100% but the
next one, called PCM was set at zero. I put this up to 80% and I now
have sound.

Hopefully this will assist others in the future.
