I did as you suggested to a point. I deleted the .kde file. I copied
the original .Kde4 file then deleted it from the directory.
Immediately, a smaller .Kde4 file appeared. That file had far fewer
files and all the cache files were gone. Rebooted and it worked
better. I lost things like my setup for Knode.
Still have a slow browser, but its a lot better -- on the edge of
tollerable.

problem also. Wiping it would lose bookmarks, stored passwords, etc.so
copy it somewhere else first.
