Just got a new Dr. Who and wanted to watch it with SuSE 12. Kaffeine
needed me to load files so I did. Running Kaffeine it played the front
end, e.g. commercials, and then got a read error. Next I tried VLC, no
joy. I have a Windows 7 partition but somehow that seems like giving up
on Linux, not good.

Suggestion?
Thanks

You could have a look at the Multimedia Installation Guide, and make sure everything you need is installed.

If it played the commercials, then got a read error, maybe the DVD is damaged.
