It can be done naturally.
Use VNC, just like OSX does. Then you get the same lame connection OSX
provides, so you will feel right at home

I think the main problem is that I want to be able to continue where I
left off, remotely when I get to actually sit at the machine. Windows
RDP, and OSX's Screen sharing do exactly this.
Can it be done on Opensuse?
A typical remote X login won't work, because that particular desktop
won't be available when I sit at the actual machine.
