Recommend a good avi "joiner"?

I need to join a 12-part avi file for someone.

Anyone recommend a good program for this?

I didn't have luck using Mencoder because it said that each segment to be
joined had to have the same FPS rate. We shot the video ourselves and I know
Mencoder is seeing something weirdly.

cheers
