Hey all,
I've been trying to make the switch from windows to Linux for
years now. I've tried mostly Mandrake Linux as Ive always heard it was
the easiest to install / config. Basically, I've been having
difficulty accomplishing simple tasks such as upgrading my video
drivers, installing some software, and other very elementary issues.
All of these have forced me to continually return to Windows. Well,
after another crash today due to windows, Ive had it and want to
finally switch to Linux for GOOD. I dont need much from an OS, just
email, web surfing, office apps, and instant messaging, all of which I
can get under any Linux Distro. Any advice as to which one is easy,
small (i would like it to fit in a small space, although its not a
life or death issue). Thanks for your help, and Im sorry for the
idiotic question.
