Running Linux Progs

I need to run programs that require Linux at the same time as running
programs that require Windows. I have already looked for remote shell
accounts but none of them have the requirements I need (ability to run a
background process, internet connection, sufficient disk space, etc...).
Aside from getting another computer, is there any way to accomplish this
task?
