KPPP is not relevant to broadband service. It is a dial-up utility.
You did not mention which distribution you are using. Your distribution
should have a gui network configuration utility. The names are different
between distributions. The Mandrake utility is drakconnect.
I reviewed the configuration manual (pdf file on the bigpond site) It does
not hava a linux section, so in such a case, I review the Macintosh
section.
The configuration is a straight lan connection using dhcp to get the ip
address assignment. So linux has to be set up to use straight lan with
dhcp. You don't have to plug in the parameters such as ip address, netmask
or dns addresses as the dhcp daemon supplies all that when the system
boots.
In other words, set it up as if it was a local network with a dhcp server.
