Hi there I've spent over a day searching goggle, burning various test
dvdr's trying to get the 6 redhat9 iso's on a single bootable dvd.
Trouble is when it boots it can't seem to find the rest of the files.
so far here's what I've tried
1. extract boot sector from shrike-i386-disc1.iso and use this via
nero to create bootable dvd with all 6 disks on - boots but claims
wrong checksum
2. using bootdisk.img in shrike-i386-disc1.iso - boots but then cant
find rest of files on dvd (they are all there in correct directories)
3. various methods from barts boot cd site including dos boot &
Multiple boot images (isolinux/memdisk)
it seems easy enough to get it to boot into the red hat install but
when it prompts for where the rest of the files are on the dvd it just
can't find them. Even booting of the boot floppy it doesn't then find
them on the dvd, though they're in the same structure as the original
iso's. I've seen a info file on how to do it in linux, but i dont have
linux installed + i dont have 6 cd's to burn the iso's but plenty of
dvd's. Seems weird in this day and age of dirt cheap dvdr's people
still cling to the cd which is outdated (hence 6 cd's req'd)
any help appreciated. this que has been asked before here but no
useable answer was given
