Hey folks,
I'm trying to install a Linux distro on an old P100 (but one with a fairly
new CDRom drive). I set the CDRom to be the first boot device.
I've burned a total of 7 CDRoms of Linux Distro install discs, consisting of
a Debian Full Install disc, a Debian Mini Install Disc, and a Redhat 9 disc.
I've tried Disc At Once, Track At Once, and Finalize Session, but when I
boot to any of these discs it just won't boot them and moves on to booting
from the hard drive.
Weird thing is though, that I do have one Linux distro CD which I burned
using the same CD-R media and the same CD burner, and the same CD-burning
software, and it can boot to that no problem (unfortunately it's not the
distro I want to install).
Also, these discs that I burned can be booted on my other PC no problem.
Anyone got any advice on the most reliable way to make a Linux install boot
disc for a very picky PC?
