Hi All,
I'm picking up a new system tomorrow
(http://www.factorydirect.ca/cgi-bin/product_spec.pl/HP9463), and I'm
wondering which version of Linux I should use.
I'm a website developer and I need a system to develop and test PHP
applications on before deploying them to the Internet. (Windows XP Pro is
just not cutting it for me). I've been looking at all the different
distributions of Linux (Slackware, Debian, Redhat, etc), and I'm pretty
confused as to which one would be best. Redhat caught my eye, but when it
comes to choosing a linux OS, my general feeling is where do I start?
Anyone have a suggestion for someone who is about to use Linux for the first
time? (Also I heard that Linux cannot play MP3 files, is this true?)
Thank you,
Justin
