.cshrc loading multiple times, .login loading only once, and only sometimes.....

Hi,

I'm using RH72 with KDE. My default shell is tcsh and I have a .cshrc and a
.login file in my home directory.

I am trying to understand what gets loaded and when for every time I do a
login.

When I login with the KDE GUI, it seems that my .cshrc gets loaded twice and
the .login file none. If then I open a terminal window, then my .cshrc gets
loaded again.

When I login to my machine using something like ssh2 my .cshrc gets loaded
once and my .login file once (as intended).

Is there any log message or any info where I can find exactly which files are
being read and when? (Ideally I would like to control this, so that these
files are always read, but only once).

Thanks,
Angel de Vicente
