Well either Rhythmbox (a gnome media jukebox type thing) or Juk, itsd KDE
equivalent sound like what you are looking for, though I don't seem to be
able to edit my id3 tags in Rhythmbox(that could just be me being dumb though)
, but I find mp3info quicker to use anyway
