Hey folks...
I've been having trouble burning CDs. The burn goes through without
any sort of error. For example, using the following command-line:

cdrecord -v dev=0,0,0 driveropts=burnfree speed=40 fs=32m file.iso

Gets me the following output:

Cdrecord-Clone 2.01a18 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2003

No errors from cdrecord, but then I mount the ISO with the loopback
and mount the new CD and run diff -r on both. There is always at least
one file that does not match (usually more). I've tried different
brands of discs, slower burning speeds, bigger and smaller buffers...
even a totally different burner and ide cable. The only thing I
haven't swapped is the computer (but its not an option anyway ) Anyone
have any other tweaks or ideas that know of that might help? I'm
becoming desperate!

Oh yeah... I'm using Gentoo linux, kernel version 2.4.20-r7.

Thanks,
Andrew
