I can cause an xterm from a machine at work to show up on my screen at home.
I can then do "ssh -C -g -R 5910:workIPlinuxbox:5901 homeIPlinux". Then do a Remote
Desktop Connection which is VNC and get a full console window. Works fine.
Last night I also tried "ssh -C -g -R 3389:workIPMSbox:3389 homeIPlinux".
Then from the command line I did "rdesktop -g 1280x1024 localhost:3389" and up popped
an window with the login for my MS box at work. Which seemed to work faster than
the VNC linux2linux connection. From what I can tell rdesktop is a client only
peice of software and there is no Linux Server package.
So now to the question(s): Is there a better way to connect? Is there a better
way to do my connections?
Tks
Cal
