I had the same problem ... Not sure what's up with xlockmore lately

hmm.. I've never had a problem with it, what kind of system are you
running on? Computer hardware and distro, etc.

USB stick are fairly simple so long as you have the correct modules
available/compiled ... usb_storage is the main one, and of course, usb
support, scsi support and generic scsi disc.

Look into wine (http://www.winehq.org) or WineX (http://www.transgaming.com)

You'll need root access (or 'su' into root) to create directories
outside of your $HOME directory. Mozilla needs to be installed by root
as well.

I've had poor luck with LimeWire .. I've heard success stories too, so
don't give up. I use xMule myself, but it chews up my memory.

umm... there are so many ways to go about multimedia that I wouldn't
have a clue were to begin without knowing what you are running. I use
xine to play video, cinarella (http://www.heroinewarrior.com) to edit,
and I hadn't settled in on how the best way to get the video in before I
pulled my TV card in favour of a better sound card (who knew you
couldn't fit a PCI card into a PCI-X slot ;) ... anyway... more info on
what you are trying and it would be easier to help
