It's a remake of Knoppix with installation on an USB thumbdrive in mind.
Since Knoppix already contains FluxBox, my guess is that that's what OP
is looking at.

Furthermore: you can store your homedir on an USB drive (or
windoze-formatted harddrive for that matter) so you can store your
settings etc.
