I installed a wireless network, using a Linksys router (WRT54G) and
card (WMP54G). The only thing in setup in XP was to change the
network name from linksys to a new SSID.
I then found Linksys has no 800.11g drivers for Linux, and eventually
I downloaded and installed the Linuxant "wrapper" and a Linksys
Windows driver. As best I could, I tried to make the settings in YaST
match the Windows setting (SSID, default gateway, leaving Host Name
and Domain Name blank, etc.) with "Ad-hoc" as the network "type." So
far everything seems OK. Linux "sees" the wireless LAN.
But, I cannot connect to the internet.
Has anyone had success with this type of setup and config? If so, how
were you able to get it working correctly?
Thanks.
