hi ng,
how must i set up the "syslogd" so that messages that came over UDP-port 514
are logged on my machine
where my syslogd is running.
i read somewhere that i must start the daemon with: syslogd -r
but where can i tell him that, as far as i know the syslogd is started
automatically.
is it possible that i store message from one machine on a file like
machine1.txt
and messages from another machine in another file??
if yes how must i configure the /etc/syslogd.conf file.
thx in advance markus
