I upgraded to XFree86 4.2.1.12-1 using apt-get (via Synaptic) on my Knoppix
system. The upgrade succeeded, but since then selecting the 'default'
session from the KDE graphical login screen has failed, returning me
immediately to the login screen. However, if I specifically select a 'kde3'
session, I get in without incident.
I am assuming that using the 'default' option is not finding an xsession
script, but have so far been unable to locate the file where the behaviour
of the session options is defined. Does anyone know where I might find this
file(s)?
