Getting DSL turned on today, so...

This is from Quest through my ISP via an Actiontec 1524 "Gateway"
router-modem, using DHCP and ATM. The ISP specifies PPPoA(TM).

I've got a windows box (w98se) and Linux box on a LAN with a switch between
them. LAN works fine with Samba.

Both machines are firewalled and the firewalls will be adjusted for the new
setup, so no separate firewall box should be really necessary, I would
think.

So I propose connecting the Actiontec to the LAN. Actiontec is 192.168.0.1
and the LAN is 192.168.1.x. I would think that both boxes should see the
router as the internet gateway, and from reading the material for the
windows setup, that seems to be what should happen.

What do I do with the Linux machine?

So far, I've got Linux-ATM installed (a bunch of atm utilities, as far as I
can see), and I can 'insmod' pppoatm. It would seem I should be able to
set up another ppp account (ppp1?) and set it to look at the router
somehow, but that cannot be just a matter of using ifconfig. There has to
be some sort of script for this, and I have no idea what that would be.

Has anyone done this before? I'd much appreciate any help anyone can offer!
