have not got a solution, having same problem, did find
speedtouch-1.2-1mdk.i586.rpm on rpm site, it seemed to create correct
folders and put everything in the right place, but will not connect at boot
or thru drakconnect. the wizard in drakconnect finds the modem and goes
thru the motions of installing it but then won't connect. have searched
around for solutions but no joy to be found.
