]There is a great driver the the extigy, but OSS only - google for "cochran
]extigy" without the quotes - runs on 2.4.x kernels, not 2.6 (atm, i've
]started porting it, but i'm kinda new to c), but supports almost all the
]features of the extigy, including AC3/A52/Dolby Digital pass through in
]xine, and even the remote control through LIRC (many programs support LIRC,
]you can even use the remote control as a mouse)
I just tried the Creative USB MP3 soundcard. Unfortunately when the
module
ehci-hcd loads, it completely crashes the system (both Mandrake 9.0 and
9.1) with the usb sound card plugged in. (everything is find if it is
not plugged in. ) If I hot plug it, again and complete crash (ie
everything freezes.) This happens on two different machines-- a main
system running Mandrake 9.0 and a laptop running 9.1
If I do not load that modules, then the card is not even recognized at
all ( and the power light does not even come on on the card).
I tried booting up Windows, and it does recognize the card.
