Don't forget to reboot it (at least weekly).

That would be either: bootp /or/ dhcp. However "dhcpd" can answer bootp
reqest also. And instead of tftp some NICs might like rarp.

If you are looking into the Citrix ICAClient depends on XFree86 and Motif,
(IIRC) and that may make squeezing it in cople of MB hard to do. Thus, you
prabably want to run an NFS service on the boot-server machine as well.

I think to remebmber a "win2k terminal server" only displays 256 colours.
Therefor you need Citrix Metaframe for it to be usefull. If this isn't a
problem (or you are actually running w2k3) there is a free RDP client for
Linux - which you might want to use: http://www.rdesktop.org/

Why? (Leave the "Loading linux..." in place! (feed kernel: "quiet")).

Good. If at all possible (get NICs that do), read about "pxelinux":

Yes.

Way better to use Linux on the servers as well. If you have a win32
application, that fails in Wine, try the crossover office:
http://www.winehq.com/
http://www.codeweavers.com/site/products/

They have Linux thin-client software, as well.

Maybe read through this thread:
http://groups.google.nl/groups?threadm=pan.2003.05.13.04.00.59.169574%40desktop.local

But you might very well, be better off doing the LTSP thing. And giveing
users that _realy_ need (some application which is only available on
wintel) access to it by way of allowing them to fire up a RDP/ICA client.

But then you may want to have a look at x86 emulation, for that as-well
(slower, but probably still supporting more users then TSE) - QEMU, Bochs:

http://bochs.sourceforge.net/

HTH.
