Reiser saves space and generally performs better. ext3 is considered more
reliable.

http://kerneltrap.org/node/view/715/3435 has some benchmarks comparing
various filesystems for speed, various other ones I've seen show reiser
outperforming in almost every way. I'd recommend reiser personally.
