Hi, I'm a newbie and I've been trying out different distributions of
Linux to see which one I like best and to investigate the differences
(that are apparent to me). Mandrake, RedHat and SuSE were all fairly
easy to install, but Mandrake was the best as far as not having any
compatibility problems and with post-installation setup. I had a tough
time with Debian. I finally got it installed but I never got my sound card
to work with it and couldn't get my printer to work (I have a Canon S330,
I use the turboprinter driver which works good with Mandrake and RedHat).
My question is, do you think it is worth my while to try Slackware out? Is
the installation especially difficult in comparison with the other
distributions?
