Of a bit more importance than correctly burning under windoze is: correctly
downloading. DON'T use Internet Explorer as I read somewhere that IE has,
on occasion, changed the file from Binary to ASCII or some similar problem
rendering it useless. Oh yes, it will still burn but will not boot.
Get a copy of a 3rd party download agent such as get right to download with
which will not alter the original file.
I have not had a problem with any of my downloads with get right and it has
a free trial period.
Also, if you use the MD5 checksum's to verify the file, you will not waste
time and CD's burning useless files.
As for burning, Nero worked just fine for me when I needed to burn my first
linux CD from an ISO file under windoze.
Download the ISO file,
open NERO and choose other file formats,
choose to burn a CD from image,
a dialog box opens, Browse to, and double click on your ISO file.
Click "Burn"
NERO will identify the ISO file as an image and correctly open and burn it.
also has a free trial period.
