    I don't suppose it'll hurt to reiterate this. :-)

    PHP's always well hidden. It's a C-like scripting language. It doesn't have
    a "look". PHP can be used instead of Perl[0] or ASP to create dynamic
    sites. PHP can even be used for shell scripting.

    A lot of lazy people (me included in the past :-) ) use pre-written forums
    like phpBB for their sites so they *will* look similar. Another lot of lazy
    people use phpnuke or postnuke and all those sites look the same. There's
    no reason why every PHP site can't look different to every other PHP site
    with a bit of effort and imagination.

    [0] Or any other language that can be used for CGI programming depending on
    your needs.
