Hmmm..."Tippy Stenstrude". I don't see the pun but it's
gotta be something stupid, like Jig Olo or E. Normous Johnson.

Maybe in Swedish. Too bad I don't know Swedish. And why is this
cross-posted to aows-xp and aolg? Followups redirected.

Unstable? Windows XP is the epitome of stability. Why, just
the other month someone was commenting on crazy uptimes of
three months therewith. That's very impressive.

(For Windows.)

Slowpoke. Must have been a *very* old CD drive. :-)

Somebody didn't follow the directions. Windows has a nasty
habit of wiping boot blocks but Linux will just as easily
return the favor -- the catch is that most partitioning
software will at least notice that there's a Windows partition
and attempt to preserve it. So Windows is still there; it just
needs to be "re-activated". You might even have a chain block
in /boot for it (an artifact of the first run of /sbin/lilo
or grub-install).

As for AOL -- there used to be a method by which one can
dial into AOL and hook into their TCP stack. Since I don't
use AOL I forget the details.

Your Cisco router isn't even on your box. Douy....

Sure they do. That's why they're now the biggest routing
company in the world...

Good luck.

Nice. Of course without a little more data I can't help you much;
*I* have an HP printer (a 5CL) and it doesn't do color *at all*.

Works fine in Debian, though. At some point I'll have to build
my PP200 using Gentoo and see how far I can get with remote
printing. I don't anticipate major problems but Gentoo does
like to throw curveballs now and again. :-)

Oh, *that's* specific. I don't suppose you investigated the
ALSA project at all, or even have a clue as to what brand
of onboard sound you have? Not that motherboard soundcards
are all that hot anyway -- although it's nice when they work
for the simple stuff.

As it is, you paid more for that SB than I did for my video card.
Gyp city, man.

Really?

I hope you didn't pay much for that card. I just bought an ATI Radeon 9000
for $59.99 and get 1280x1024x24bpp + GL. 640x480x16 went out with VGA.

Your who? Mandrake is a precompiled distro.

Read the license. It's quite specific. I'd be very very careful if
I were you.

It's still legal to go .sigless.
