Postfix problem :( MDK9.2

I have already set up postfix config files and started postfix server...
when I try to telnet to localhost on port 25, I get no response from the
server (however the connection is accepted). I should get sth like:
220 smtp.mail.com ESMTP
but i get nothing, so the conection is hung up (mail clients will wait
for the server to answer). I'm confused :/
Someone help me to solve my problem... please!
