Only in the original 19th century meaning of socialism. Now socialism is
generally equated with state control of the means of production. Free
Software is the antithesis of that. Microsooft's monopoly, on the other
hand, is a creature of the state (i.e., a corporation) as are the laws that
protect its monopoly.
