Well, if there are such efficient third party apis available which do
not reduce the speed of execution and run under any platform then why
all gui software developers do not use them?

I am a mechanical engineer and work on CAD softwares .But there are
many CAD softwares which have only dedicated windows or linux
version.(There are also a few which provide their software on linux
and windows platform)
eg.Solidworks,Autocad,Delcam run only on Windows.
IDEAS runs both on linux and windows.

Now if using such platform indepenent apis is going to solve the
platform dependency problem , why the said vendors not develop their
software application using one such apis.

Thanking you.
