I'm a newbie to Linux (Actually Lindows/Lispire).
Spent a lot of time on the windows newsgroups, answering and asking.
Most of the argueing "over there" is which edition is best.
Personally, I've stuck with 98se since the upgrade came out. Can't justify
XP.
Found Linspire on Ebay, cheap.
Figured I'd give it a try.
Loaded easy enough, but then the hardware problems started.
I'm gonna stick it out on my one machine and try to learn what a kernel is,
and why it's a good thing.
Hope I can transition slowly and not have to jump "cold-turkey". Don't think
the wife and kids could make it right now.
Wish me luck!
