Can anyone help? I am trying to set up a 900mHz machine with 3 sound
cards. Each sound card has to have independent output channels. I
have to be able to play multiple sound files per sound card.
It feels like I've tried everything there is out there. I have spent
hours reading the .asoundrc documentation, the ALSA docs and
everything that's closely related to this stuff.
I have ALSA installed, and aplay and other command line players work
fine: I get sound from each sound card. Yet I want to be able to
output different sound files per socket, so sound card 1 socket 1
would be sound file 1, sound card 1 socket 2 would have sound file 2
etc.
Can anyone please help?
This is my system setup:
RH 9.0
Alsa 1.06a
Sound cards: trident, ens1371, emu10k1
Thanks!
