I have several windows cd games which will not load on windows, wrong
dlls, so loading windows software is not that easy.

I never ran Suse, but I find loading packages built for _the release_ of
_the distribution_ you are running is usually just a few key clicks,
no reboot, and away you go.

Now if you are going to try to install software packaged for your
release of your distribution from other types of packages or package
managers then you will have read on how to manage that process.
