I need a window manager that has KDE ease of use, but the lightness of
XFCE4. XFCE doesn't natively support desktop icons and addons like iDesk
are far too complex for the novice user that I'm doing this for. She's not
going to edit config files in order to add more icons. Any suggestions?
I'm considering installing Redhat 6.2 and running an ancient version of
KDE, but I'm not too thrilled with the idea of not being able to update
applications because of old glibc or GTK libs, so I'd like to stick with
recent software. It might be my only option, though. I appreciate any
suggestions.
