Problems with nvidia drivers?

I a Nvidia GF4 TI4200 display adapter. I have through Synaptic installed
the following components:

nvidia-glx
nvidia-glx-dev
nvidia-kernel-common
nvidia-kernel-source
nvidia-settings

I have also made a reconfiguration where I chose nvidia from the menu.

But when I run glxinfo I get the following error:
