No you hadn't! I don't know why you insist so! I told you what to read
and you did not read it. And one does not "read" through man pages!
One greps through them. Are you seriously suggesting that *I* have read
the man page for wvdial or wvdial.conf? No. Of course I have not. I
merely quoted the appropriate section to you.

Here's the appropriate quote from the man page for wvdial.conf:

     Stupid Mode

'K? Add it to the wvdial.ocnf file, in the 'tanza for your ISP. I
suppose you might try adding a "= true" or "= yes" or "= 1" if it
doesn't take on its own.
