Ok. Please double-check that you're building it as a module, and not
compiled into the kernel. Show us the USB section of your kernel's
.config.

Proof that you built it as a module. You also claim that the module
doesn't get built, but you don't tell us how you verified that.

capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the
safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?
