Firefox and Thunderbird refuses to print

I have installed Firefox and Thunderbird on a Debian based system. Unlike
Mozilla which prints like a charm to my HPOJ7140, the other two do nothing.

The printing dialog in Mozilla offers the following options
HPOJ7140@:64
xp_ps_spooldir_HOME_Xprintjobs@:64
xp_pdf_spooldir_HOME_Xprintjobs@:64
PostScript/default

Only the last works, alway has.

The printing dialog in Firefox and Thunderbird offers the
following option
PostScript/HPOJ7140
This does not print.

Xprt-common and xprt-xprintorg are installed

Does anyone know how to correct this
